There are many ways you can show your support for our troops. One way is by joining our Veterans Build on September 8th, 2023.

This event kicks off our Veterans Build program, providing veterans the opportunity to gather together a crew of volunteers to build with us.

To honor those who died and served on September 11th, to honor our veterans in observance of Veterans Day, Veteran Appreciation Month, all our first responders, families, friends, and support networks.  Let’s show the military community they are never forgotten and that we appreciate their service to this great nation, to world and our community.

Spaces are limited on September 8th, so register your team as soon as possible. Once the date is full, we’ll start scheduling Friday builds throughout the fall and into the new year.

Veterans Build is committed to providing veterans and military-connected families with the chance to contribute to the construction or repair of homes for those in need. We firmly believe that this can have a powerful effect on the lives of the veterans, their families, and caretakers who want to continue to serve in our communities.

We provide volunteer experiences that can bring together veterans and military families with their neighbors and the local community, bridging the gap and easing the transition to civilian life with fulfilling community engagement.

An abbreviation for “Remember Everyone Deployed,” RED Fridays are a way to raise awareness and show our support for deployed service members and their families by wearing a red shirt every Friday.

Being away from home on deployment is often challenging for both the military member and their family. It can be hard for anyone to go months without seeing a loved one, and when you share your RED attire in-person or on social media you become somewhat of a comfort they may need.

Schedule your group build, or simply sign up to volunteer on a Friday and wear your red shirt. Tag us and your military and first responders on social media and include them in the work we do for the mission of Habitat, our military and first responders, building community, and supporting each other.
