All court ordered volunteers must complete the 3 additional steps to be a volunteer found at www.habitatect.org/volunteer.
The volunteer must sign up online at least 24 hours in advance of volunteering for any activity.
It is the responsibility of the volunteer to sign in and out for each day volunteer when the arrive and just before leaving. Any hours that the volunteer does not sign in and out cannot be recorded.
To check the progress on your hours and for printable documentation to submit· Go to www.habitatect.org · Click on the volunteer up link in the top right corner · Log in · Return to the main calendar · Click “My Info” · Choose “Volunteer Hours”
Here you will be able to choose the date range you would like to see and print the corresponding hours. These hours are entered into the system by volunteers. At times there is a delay with the hours being inputted into this system, based on work load and the volunteers availability. Please be patient with us in these times.
Hours must be completed at least one week in advance of when the formal acknowledgment letter is needed.
Letters of acknowledgment will only be give to the volunteer dirrectly. They can be mailed, email or picked up at the office (377 Broad Street New London CT 06320).
These requirements pertain to any volunteer seeking to do volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut due to an type of legal matter, including but not limited to if you have been charged with a crime, are on probation, or are simply recomended by your lawyer to do volunteer work before your court date.
